A good reason to write:
Alas for those who do not sing, they die with their song still inside them. - service of Yom Kippur
I went to the most wonderful Jewish Vegetarian Hippie Chanukkah party a couple of years ago.. the food was GREAT.......... the Cantor played the piano and we sang. (mostly college professor; it was a first date from a match.com date)
I eat Tongue when I go to a jewish deli and matza soup and all. LOVE IT.......
I am a huge fan of all culturally Jewish things. I found a 1960s cookbook called Simple Jewish Cookery and have been cooking selected dishes from it and my family has been in awe. And latkes - oh my goodness, I could live on them. The service of Yom Kippur is very touching and meaningful. I also love the Seder.
